General Terms & Conditions (GTC)
1. Scope of application
These General Terms & Conditions (hereinafter "GTC") govern all legal transactions concluded on the epicemed.ch online shop between A. Ighil, sole proprietorship trading as Épicerie méditerranéenne Ighil, and customers domiciled in Switzerland. By placing an order, customers accept the GTC in force at the time of the order.
2. Products
Products offered are food, beverages and assortments. Illustrations are non-binding. Prices are in Swiss francs (CHF) including VAT; prices displayed at the time of the order are binding. The range is restocked weekly: we do not hold permanent stock and availability may vary depending on supply. Delivery in Switzerland only.
3. Prices & fees
Prices are in CHF including VAT. Delivery fees apply according to the delivery zone (address in Switzerland). Free delivery may apply from an order threshold; a surcharge may apply for orders below a minimum amount. Exact amounts (products, delivery, surcharges and total) are shown in the cart and at checkout before you confirm your order.
4. Order and contract conclusion
Product presentation on the online shop is an invitation to order, not a firm offer. The sales contract is concluded when payment is validated and an order confirmation email is sent to the address provided.
5. Payment
Payments are processed securely by Stripe (card including PostFinance, PayPal, TWINT, Apple Pay, Google Pay as shown at checkout). Card data never transits through our servers.
6. Delivery
Delivery in Switzerland only (no in-store pickup). Orders follow a weekly cycle: cutoff on Thursday at 12:00 noon (Swiss time), restocking on Friday, processing on Saturday. By postcode: (a) Biel/Bienne & Seeland region (postcodes 24xx and 25xx) — local home delivery on Saturday; (b) rest of Switzerland — dispatch via Swiss Post (PostPac Economy), generally on Saturday, with indicative delivery within about two business days after shipping. Exact fees, timing and terms are shown in the cart and at checkout for the address entered. A tracking link may be provided for postal shipments. Questions: Help & contact page. 7. Perishable goods and claims
In line with Swiss practice for perishable goods, returns are not accepted except for proven defects upon delivery. Any claim must be submitted within 24 hours of delivery to contact@epicemed.ch, with a description and photos if possible.
8. Applicable law and jurisdiction
These GTC are governed by Swiss law. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is the registered office in Biel/Bienne, subject to any mandatory more favourable jurisdiction for consumers.
